Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa consists of 6 buildings, the main building being the most important and several other facilities. Florida Keys is attached to each of the other buildings. The lounge floors in the main building, accessible only to Club level guests, are called the Royal Palm Club.

The main building is the largest building in the resort and contains many facilities including restaurants and shops. Club guest rooms are located on the third, fourth and fifth floors. These floors also have four signature suites: the Roy Disney Suite, the Walt Disney Suite, the Grand Suite, and the Victorian Suite. The hotel has a five-story high atrium, seating, a piano, and a stage for a band that performs daily on the second floor. The hotel has two large chairs that symbolize pineapple leaves: the pineapple stands for the satisfaction of the guests. It's also the reason you'll find pineapples on the Grand Floridian wallpaper, next to Secret Mickey, and on the Grand Floridian logo. The vault is decorated with 3 arches, the middle one sitting under the tallest bell tower. In late 2011, all floors in the lobby and second floor were redone with Italian marble with hidden Disney characters and patterns.

Outside the second floor of the hotel is a monorail station that connects directly to the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

The hotel names are as follows: Sago Key (5), Sugar Key (6), Conch Key (7), Boca Chica (8) and Big Pine Key (9). These are named after islands in the Florida Keys. Each building has 5 stories, except for Sugarloaf Key and Conch Key, which only have 4 stories. Sugarloaf Key is only available to club level guests and features a lounge and private butler service. Two signature suites are located at either end of Sago Key and Conch Key, the Everglades Suite (7) and the Cape Coral Suite (5).
